Go to the village center and move past the pumpkin patch in order to get to Panda Garden. Once you have yourself a big stack of tokens, you might be wondering what you’re supposed to do with them. There isn’t any minimum you need to worry about hitting here, but the more the better, so do what thou wilt. If not, just reload your save and try again until you do. If you’re successful, you’ll net 3000 tokens. You need to roll a higher number than the bookie in order to win. All you want to do is stand in front of the booth and then save.Īfterward, simply place a 1500 token bet by pressing up on the betting screen, and then get going. I like this booth because it’s quick and has really good odds. The place you’re gonna want to go is the dice booth opposite the turtle races. Now, the max bet you can make here is 1500 tokens, so you’re going to want to have at least that many when you get started. When gambling for tokens, though, the amount you can make increases drastically. Out of your hands now, so how does it feel? Roll on the dice, take a spin on the wheel. You might be more inclined to try your luck by betting with money instead of tokens further into the village, but the rewards are really quite small and not worth your time. In front of Tao’s store is a fenced-off section filled with gambling booths that require tokens. There are a fair amount of options in Bailu for making bets, but one is just simpler than the others. Now, as you’re almost certainly aware, Shenmue III has gambling. Here’s how you make some serious bank with minimal effort in Bailu Village. But if you’re like me, you don’t have time for honesty. If you’re roleplaying and want to be super honest, you can get a job. Much like previous games, there’s more than one way to do this. So, you’re going to need cash, and you’re going to need it regularly.
And why not? Ryo’s always had a curfew, so why shouldn’t he need to eat too? I’m just glad they didn’t give him regular bowel movements.
Shenmue 3 mods series#
It presents a great opportunity to play (or replay) both games in anticipation of Shenmue 3, which, it was recently confirmed, will be launching in August of 2019.Shenmue III is obviously not the first game in the series to have money, but it is the first that requires you to buy groceries regularly. Shenmue 1 and 2 is currently available for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One. This is just the beginning, after all (one would hope, at least).

This is the kind of stuff Shenmue fans in the PC community have most likely been waiting for, and hopefully, we’ll get to see some great mods for the games released in the future as well.
Shenmue 3 mods mod#
You can get the mod here if you want your game to look the best it possibly can on you PC. What’s interesting, though, is that the modder notes that the mod doesn’t just upscale default textures within the game, but that it actually brings recreated HD textures for the entirely. As the name suggests, it offers higher quality textures for the game’s environments and clothing. This HD Texture pack has been made by user ‘Drogean’, and makes use of Kaldien’s Special K mod for the game.
And sure enough, a HD Texture Pack mod has been released for the collection. But you know what it means now that these games are out on PC? It means that we’re going to be seeing some great mods for them. The remastered ports of Shenmue 1 and 2 are now out for PC, Xbox One, and PS4, and they’re quite decent overall as we noted in our review.
